Switzerland and Cameroon will kick off the competition in Group G of the 2022 FIFA World Cup on November 24.
Group A includes two underdogs in Switzerland and Cameroon, because Brazil is expected to advance.
The Swiss automatically qualified for the 2018 World Cup, but historically, they’ve struggled in world cups.
Cameroon stunned Argentina in the opening match of the 1992 tournament and never advanced from a group stage. They failed to qualify in 2006 and 2018.
Switzerland’s national and club soccer teams are in shock following the departure of their long-standing coach Vladimir Petkovic. In August 2019, Murat Yakin took over as head coach as he won 18 out of 24 games with no losses to qualify for the world cup ahead of Italy. However, last week Ghana defeated Switzerland in a friendly match.
The country of Cameroon.
In contrast to Switzerland, the Indomitable Lions have recently had form issues. They’ve only won once in their previous five games and beat a team currently ranked 141st. After a two-leg playoff with Algeria, they advanced on the away goals rule and won in aggregate.
It will be the first time Switzerland and Cameroon have met at a game. Cameroon has scored at least one goal in the last six games they’ve played abroad. The Swiss have yet to be in shutout form in three rounds throughout all competitions.
Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa is not healthy competing, but he could still make a difference. He is a standout player on Cameroon’s team, with Denis Zakaria and Breel Embolo showing up as key players for their respective squads.

Their fourth FIFA World Cup match will be played in the Al Janoub Stadium, Qatar, on November 24 at 3:30 PM (Indian time).
Belgium vs. England match will be broadcast live on the Sports18 and Sports18 HD TV channels in India, and Jio Cinema’s app and website will offer free live streaming of the event.
Cameroon has a tough task ahead of them, considering the Swiss team has a great record at Rennes. Switzerland will dominate the match with a decisive 2-0 victory.
